Install Eso on Steam Then Installs Again
I think if they haven't past now then they probably wont. Why don't you lot go buy the game disc? Thats what i did.
It'southward non a Steam issue. It'due south a ZOS put an INSTALLER on Steam upshot.
Nope. And ZoS gives zero northward'wah about information technology.
Deleted TESo and installed again via Steam. Finished ~min agone. In that location was few patched to download, simply largest of those was, i dunno, 60mb? So, possibly, ~300mb of patches in full (i didnt counted really), There was 3,5Gb merely information technology was patch applying, not downloading.
Seems like ZoS fixed client version on Steam servers.
That, or Steam didnt fully deleted game and i but installed information technology higher up old client.

I think the trouble is that you download threescore GB of files which are so being unpacked, temporarily taking up 120 GB, so people with little disk space have drouble installing the game.
I remember the problem is that you lot download 60 GB of files which are and so existence unpacked, temporarily taking up 120 GB, and so people with piddling deejay space have drouble installing the game.
66.6Gb to be authentic. And unpacking took me, i dunno, 4Gb of additional disk space?
I know what y'all're talking about, and it was just similar that less that half-year agone, but when i reinstalled TESO today, no issues at all and no half-hour unpacking as it was then. Few quick patches, 1 min for that three,5Gb patch appying, and thats that, client is ready.
Seems that ZoS finally stock-still their Steam bug.
The problem still very much exists... Install ESO through Steam and it asks for 87GB of HDD gratuitous. In one case that is installed and you launch ESO it merely open up the Zenimax Launcher and says information technology needs to Update/Install but says you lot demand 87GB free. Which if yous merely installed ESO from Steam you lost 87GB of space and I simply have a 180GB total space on my SSD. There is no manner to bypass the Zenimax Launcher asking for it, yous cannot just "keep" on and let information technology effigy out information technology won't demand that space. If you practice not have 87GB gratuitous when it asks, AFTER yous have already installed 87GB from Steam, yous cannot actually get the game installed.
If yous attempt and just download the game via Zenimax Launcher, it works but when yous try to log in it tells you your Login is incorrect and if yous purchased the game through Steam to lauch it via Steam.
So unless I want to play information technology from my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wearisome storage bulldoze and have some dainty lag and stuttering because that drive it also being accessed by my entire abode network and my media server I either cannot play it or I have to get an buy the game AGAIN directly from Zenimax
I reinstall ESO last week and it took only in the 70 Gb no "double install" for me
Practice you take the Tamriel Unlimited version, or the newer Morrowind version?
Do you lot have the Tamriel Unlimited version, or the newer Morrowind version?
What of guars... you're seriously telling that same MMORPG is using two unlike dissever clients for those with DLC and without it? Or yous're just a fatty river troll?
What of guars... you're seriously telling that same MMORPG is using 2 unlike separate clients for those with DLC and without it? Or you're just a fatty river troll? Do you have the Tamriel Unlimited version, or the newer Morrowind version?
I just see there is a Tamriel Unlimited version on the store, and a Morrowind Digital Collectors Edition. Figure they might be different launchers that become downloaded, perhaps the base of operations version yet downloads the crap version that causes this issue, and the Morrowind version uses an updated version that avoids this issue. I'g just not willing to spend $30 to find out.
Seriously, I just don't have the infinite on my SSD for it to install twice because of this stupid bug, bought the game ages ago and tin can't fifty-fifty play it considering I tin't install it...
*UPDATE*
Using the method in the video partially worked for me, which it hadn't in the past. I installed ESO through Steam, then copied the "Launch" folder from the Temp directory and into the Steam ESO folder. Ran the Bethesda launcher which did a few pocket-size(less than 200mb) updates and Nail! Worked. Kinda. I ended upward having to uninstall the C++ 2010 libraries, reboot, and install them again, and reboot before the launcher would come up off the "Loading..." screen. But in the end, information technology worked!! No double install!
